The Comprehensive Fitness Assessment (CFA) is a thorough evaluation of your physical fitness, examining each key component of fitness. The results from this assessment can serve as the foundation for tailoring a personalized exercise program that optimizes your fitness journey. During the CFA, the following components will be tested:
** Based on the preliminary prescreening data, the exercise professional will choose whether to perform a maximal or submaximal assessment.
This test will determine your maximal aerobic capacity (VO2max) which represents the ability of your body to uptake and utilize oxygen during maximal exercise. A metabolic cart will be used to take a direct measurement of oxygen consumption while exercising on a stationary bike or treadmill. Your heart rate will also be monitored during the test. This type of test is most appropriate for athletic populations as you are encouraged to exercise at maximal exertion and until volitation fatigue. The results of your test can be used to determine training intensities and track improvements in aerobic fitness.
The InBody 570 uses an 8-point contact and multifrequency system offering a valid and reliable form of Bioimpedence Spectroscopy (BIS). This test only takes 45 seconds to complete and provides a detailed body composition analysis. Results include estimations of % body fat, lean muscle mass, a segmental analysis (compare sides of the body), visceral fat and basal metabolic rate. This report can be used as a baseline for tracking and monitoring. Pre-testing Instructions must be followed for the most accurate results.
Unlock your metabolism and achieve your health and fitness goals with personalized insights from our Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test. Your RMR is the base level of energy expenditure at while at rest. This non-invasive assessment will assess your respiration while you breathe into a mouth piece connected to a metabolic cart. Whether its weight loss, muscle gain or maintenance understanding your RMR is an important step towards more accurate, personalized fitness and nutrition goals.
This test will estimate your aerobic fitness. You will be required to exercise at a moderate to vigorous exertion on a stationary bike, treadmill, or step. Your heart rate will be monitored during the test and used to predict your estimated (VO2max). Results can be utilized to track improvements and determine training intensities.
This assessment is completed by an ISAK trained and certified anthropometrist and includes 21 measurements - basic anthropometric measurements, skinfold caliper sites, body girth measurements, and bone breadth measurements. Reporting will produce a compartment body composition of estimated total muscle mass, bone mass, residual mass, and adipose mass. Along with somatotyping, BMI, Waist/Hip Ratio, Waist/Stature Ratio, and Sum of 8 and 6 skinfolds.
This type of assessment is recommended is of interest to those looking for a body composition baseline, or to monitor and track changes over time to support lifestyle, behaviour, and fitness goals. Minimal preparation is required. Please avoid exercising up to four hours before completing this assessment to allow for the most reliable results.
