Stretch & Flex 65+

Looking forward to adding some fun and movement to your week?  Our Stretch and Flex class is the perfect blend of fitness and friendship! This lively class is designed specifically for older adults, focusing on strength training, flexibility/mobility exercises, and gentle stretching, all modalities that promote health and wellbeing.


Experience the benefits of light weight training, tailored to enhance your strength and stability.  Our experienced instructor will guide you through enjoyable routines that not only improve your mobility but also build muscle and boost your confidence.  

About the Program

Stretch & Flex focuses on exercises that support everyday movement and overall well‑being

  • Gentle stretching
  • Improving flexibility and mobility
  • Light strength and balance exercises
  • Supporting independence and daily activities


Classes are delivered in a friendly group setting that encourages social connection as well as physical health.


Equipment

 Optional to bring:

Yoga mat

Light hand weights (3-5 lbs)

Water bottle  

 

Exercises can be modified if you do not have equipment

Time:

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.


Location:

Niagara College - Welland Campus


Cost:

$125 for 10 classes - Taxes and parking included


What Participants Can Expect

No previous fitness experience is required.

Week # 2 - Monday, June 22 & Thursday, June 25

Week # 3 - Monday, June 29 & Thursday, July 2

Week # 4 - Monday, July 6 & Thursday, July 9

Week # 5 - Monday, July 13 & Thursday, July 16

Session 2

10:00am - 11:00am

Week # 1 - Monday, July 20 & Thursday, July 23

Week # 2 - Monday, July 27 & Thursday, July 30

Week # 3 - Thursday, August 6

Week # 4 - Monday, August 10 & Thursday, August 13

Week # 5 - Monday, August 17 & Thursday, August 20

Week # 6 - Monday, August 24


To register for a session:

  1. Choose your preferred session (dates and times listed)
  2. Purchase the full 10-class package
  3. After purchase, you will either:
    • Book into each class date, OR
    • Be automatically enrolled in all 10 classes


Please note:

  • This is a fixed 10-class program (not drop-in)
  • Missed classes are not transferable to other sessions
  • Your spot is secured once payment is complete

About The Instructor

Briar Krieger

Briar Krieger has 34 years experience in the  fitness and wellness industry. As a former gym owner and creator of a  global nutritional program called the 8 Week Challenge, she has gained  invaluable insights that shape her approach as a certified personal  trainer and Nutrition coach.


Running  a gym and creating the 8 Week Challenge has taught her the importance  of creating a supportive and motivating environment for clients. She is  committed to creating a community- centered approach around health and  wellness, working closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds and  fitness levels.
